Takia is a Bollywood beauty who started out as a model quite young in life and appeared in music videos before landing serious film roles. In 2006, she won critical acclaim and a best actress award from Indian film critics for portraying a traditional girl who marries into a conservative Indian family and befriends a maverick woman in the 2006 Hindi film Dor, directed by Nagesh Kukunoor.
